The Permission Slip You've Been Waiting For

When do you feel empowered and like you are living your purpose? 

I feel that way when on stage, leading a workshop, or facilitating a corporate event. The ability to share my years of education and experience through storytelling in a way that impacts people toward action and transformation is my life's calling. 

This past Friday, I had the pleasure of leading a workshop called Reframe to Reimagine, and the audience feedback has helped to remind me that my business is on the right track. 

The past version of me would be so proud of who I am today; years ago I was scared to speak up in meetings and now I stand up in front of 100's of people sharing stories, statistics, and exercises that bring laughter and tears. 

What did it take to get me here? Besides a whole lot of coach training, I gave myself permission.

I gave myself permission to have big dreams.

I gave myself permission to want more for myself than those around me understood.

I gave myself permission to fail and learn.

What's holding you back from doing more things that excite you? What stops you from showing up passionately and emboldened? 

Is it that little voice telling you that you might fail, or that you are enough, or that you don't have what it takes? 

Thank the voice for trying to keep you safe, but friend, you are not meant to live life with bumper guards and blinders.

Now, here is the good news: a permission slip is not a promissory note; it's just permission granted. Do it or don't do it, no pressure. 

The other good news is that you never needed my permission to write yourself a permission slip. You have all the permission and power that you need within you.
